The class structure mystifies me. I am in the posh but characterless and sterile Lufthansa biz class lounge at JFK and pounding them muffins and cappuccinos, like I have never seen food before. ALL YOU CAN EAT. FREE!
There are a set of stairs leading up somewhere. My curiosity is piqued and I attempt to take a gander.
"Sir that's for the First class and club members only." I am warned sternly by the lounge Nazi.
WTF? There is a firster class lounge inside the first class lounge?! I wonder if there is a specific chair up there designated for the Really VIP? And then one arm of that chair to be used only by the Super Really VIP? hmmm... going full circle on evolution. I recall seeing this kind of behavior on the Discovery Channel.
